Massage Pressure Level:

Depth of pressure is relative to what your needs are that day. No one technique I apply has more value than another. It is a matter of the client’s preference and comfort. It should be noted that sometimes, less pressure gets you further with an issue, while other days do require more pressure. Consistent client feedback is what determines the proper level of pressure in any given area.

Therapeutic Massage:

Sometimes, our bodies require a more therapeutic or neuromuscular type of work. The techniques I currently use include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, rocking and other techniques which remind the muscles where they are supposed to be and how they are supposed to behave. It can benefit most issues people endure as part of daily life, repetitive stress or resulting from previous injuries.

Amma Therapy:

Amma is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine from a culturally Korean point of view. It is a type of manual therapy work which focuses on the energy or chi involving the energy channels commonly associated with acupuncture.

European or Swedish Massage:

This is the more widely understood type of massage. It does use cream, lotion or oil and is very helpful for general relaxation. For those who are familiar, it includes effleurage, petrissage, rocking, etc..

Other training:

Some of my training includes but is not limited to muscle energy technique, visceral manipulation, stretching, gross joint mobilization, muscle stripping, postural release, and Ortho-Bionomy. I have been certified in CPR and First Aid for adults.
